ATTENTION ALL RISING 6TH GRADE PARENTS
Did you know that you must have a Tetnus and Whooping Cough Booster shot called a Tdap before you can go to 6th grade?
You will not be able to attend Middle School without this vaccination. Get your shot today, and bring your shot record to your school so your school nurse will have your record updated by the start of school in August. While you are at your doctor's office, consider having the other teenage immunizations done. Menactra is for meningitis, and Guardicil is for protection against HPV virus which can cause cancer in both girls and boys. Both of these vaccines are considered life saving vaccines, and though not required, are highly recommended for students 10 or more years of age.
Questions? Call the School Health Office at 704-296-0845, or check with your child's health care professional.
